Chelsea Market Baskets was made for Mother’s day, with our continuing search to find wonderful tasting classics and new products from near (Brooklyn!) and far, that can be presented in a creative and fresh way. Some of our newest finds that may become part of our gifts in the future and are now available in the store, and can make a Mom smile and feel appreciated.
Marshmallows – which include Baru Marshmallows from Belgium that are covered in dark chocolate and topped with dried raspberries ($3.99), Mallow Tree Marshmallows ($8.50) our own import that includes five flavors in tall non-breakable jars, the favorites in the store so far are the Raspberry Coconut, Cocoa and Vanilla and Mixed Fruit.
And for a mom who likes strong flavored marshmallows we have Wondermade Marshmallows ($8.95) which are made in Orlando, Florida and come in Bourbon and Guinness flavors!
Empire Mayonnaise made in Brooklyn ($7.95), in White Truffle, Black Garlic and Red Chili, all makes for a fun color story!
Also Sir Kensington’s of Ketchup fame, in Classic and Chipotle ($8.95).
Cradoc Crackers ($7.50) , our own import from Wales in England, our line of original savoury biscuit ; and come in 3 distinctive flavors including Garlic, Ginger and Chilli, Spinach and Celery Seed, and Beetroot and Garlic.
From Italy, Corsini brand crostini crackers ($3.95) in Whole Wheat with Seeds, Rosemary and Chive, and Tomato and Red Chili.
Also a new favorite product of mine… Valhrona bulk baking or snacking chocolate in five varieties in bean shaped pieces and at just $15 a pound.  Whether to nibble on a few pieces or to bake an intense flourless chocolate cake, they come in dark chocolate 70%, white, caramel, milk and brand new the Dulce; an almost dulce de leche flavor that is the most recent creation of Valhrona. It was recently introduced at an industry and press tasting in New York, the French legendary chocolatier  is not very widely distributed within the retail sector but is used by many serious chefs.
